Bon Voyage to me……

So much for posting a new soup. I promised John I would TRY, we all know (except John) that what that really meant is the possibility of a MAYBE. If you ask any of my 4 kids they know that MAYBE directly correlates to: “It’s probably not going to happen”. Thankfully John is a forgiving sort and in the grand scheme of things one additional new soup isn’t going to make or break this blog in the next week. That doesn’t mean I don’t feel bad about it but let me tell you, I couldn’t find a way to make the time, it all just slipped away and now I am leaving the country for a week with loose ends still not attached. It happens.

It’s been a huge up-hill battle to get caught up since returning home from my nursing trip to Northern Michigan. The phone kept ringing when I was away and life continued despite my absence. John is back in the gym, my body is still a wreck and the trash still has to be put out, I still don’t know what day that is supposed to be done, such is my life in the day. Hopefully John will step up and finish the “India Bazaar” video and hopefully post his results with his new diet and gym regime. Either way I know he’s really busy too. I loved his last article, I would love to see more.

I’m heading out to sea with my sister Julie and her husband Scott for a seven night cruise. I’ll try and snap a few pictures and pick some brains about a soup or two while away. In the time being, please send any requests for something special that we can prepare upon my return. Soupa-Libre, John and me would like to put together a first video of us preparing a soup. We would love to make something that would put a smile on someones face, maybe a childhood favorite or something really special that was experienced with family or friends that you have never been able to forget. Send your suggestions to John while I’m away, I’ll let him choose which one to make.

    Gee Dick, looks like you can’t stop eating healthy… even on a cruise!

      I believe that avionidg highly processed foods is a first step to be able to lose weight. They will taste very good, but refined foods possess very little vitamins and minerals, making you take more just to have enough vitality to get over the day. In case you are constantly eating these foods, transferring to whole grain products and other complex carbohydrates will help you to have more electricity while having less. Interesting blog post.

    Great graphic! When you return make us a nice Tom Yum soup. It is not a childhood favorite but I would love to see the three of your prepare it. Have fun on the sea, you can imagine my jealousy.

      Yo Lester! What the hell is Tom Yum soup? Time for us to Google and prepare, we shoot the video this Saturday at Soupa’s secret lair. You are the only soup sub-missioner so you WIN AGAIN…do you feel special yet? Wish you could have joined us on the ship, we had a GREAT time!
